This is the personal philosophy of SAS Organizing Solutions, LLC Founder Shelley Schweitzer. This ideology, coupled with her desire to make order where there is none, is the foundation of the company which helps people reimagine their work environment by guiding them through a process of prioritization, organization and optimization. A passion of Shelley’s is identifying and researching archival materials in order to document and preserve organization and personal histories.

I’m Shelley Schweitzer, founder and principal of SAS Organizing Solutions, LLC, an Ohio-based company that works with small and home-based business clients to create work environments and systems that are efficient and tailored to their individual needs and work style.

Some might call me an “accidental organizer.” SAS Organizing Solutions grew from my personal need to make order where little exists and from the joy I find in helping others realize their potential. Over the years my career evolved from being a sole-proprietor with no employees to senior management at a North American not-for-profit where I found myself responsible for operations of multiple offices; 30 direct reports who were both home-based and working from regional hubs and decision-maker about document preservation especially when streamlining and reimagining work spaces.

Telling the stories of archival documents, working with people to determine the space that works for them and their colleagues, developing systems that are transferable and easily maintained became the passion that led me to establishing SAS Organizing Solutions, LLC.

Once upon a time (more than 30 years ago), I was the business owner who lived among stacks of papers, sure that I could go to the middle of any stack and pull out just the paper I needed (until I couldn’t). I was the business owner who loved the work and didn’t worry too much about business operations (like taking time to invoice clients). I was the business owner who kept multiple copies of everything (“just in case”). All of this was okay until others needed to find those papers; depended on a pay check and couldn’t easily find the “final” version of anything.

One day I cleaned up my act so-to-speak. I found that I liked the order; the ease of finding things and of course, the positive impact on the bottom line.
